7. Travis Henry

Travis Henry is a walking Maury Povich episode. First, there are the eleven children the former NFL running back has fathered with ten women, which have led to court-mandated child support payments in excess of $15,000 per month.

One would think Henry would still be able to pay his bills after signing a five-year, $25 million deal with the Denver Broncos before the 2007 season, but he was suspended for the entire 2008 season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy for the second time after testing positive for marijuana.

Henry’s legal troubles were only beginning. In an apparent effort to make up some of his lost wages after getting suspended, Henry was arrested in Montana for crossing state lines with intent to sell large quantities of marijuana and cocaine, earning him three years in federal prison. With his NFL career effectively over, and unable to pay child support after only drawing $6.7 million from the contract he signed with the Broncos, Henry is completely broke.

Of course, it might have helped had he not purchased spent a self-estimated $250,000 in jewelry before landing in prison.
